God hears the prayers of people all over the world. He can even hear the prayers that we pray silently and write in our journals. Start your own prayer journal.
You can use it to write your prayers and the names of people you want to pray for. You can also draw a picture of something you want to pray about. God wants us to talk to him. Don’t be afraid to express your feelings, God always listens!

Lord’s Prayer Place Mat

Make a place mat with the Lord’s Prayer on it!

Jesus spent a lot of time with his disciples. He loved his disciples so much that he showed them how to talk to him even when he wasn’t able to be physically present. Jesus loves us very much too, so he has also given us this wonderful prayer. Read it in Matthew 6:9-13, and then take some time to memorize it.

Materials Needed:

Colored cardboard, clear plastic cover, paint, pens, and markers.

Instructions:

1. Cut out a square piece of cardboard.
2. Draw colorful designs around the edges. Use this time to get creative. Use your paint, pens, and markers to add some flair!
3. Write the Lord’s Prayer on the cardboard.
4. Cover it with clear plastic.

Now you have a beautiful place mat. Whenever you eat, you will remember God’s wonderful gift of prayer.
