In Genesis 10.6-14, Nimrod is mentioned as the son of Cush and a descendant of Ham. The Bible says that Nimrod was the first to be a gibbor, which means "a skilled warrior." He was "a mighty hunter for the Lord" (Genesis 10.8,9). He also built tremendous cities such as Babylon, Erech, Akkad, Calneh, Nineveh, Rohoboth-Ir, Calah and Resen.
